There is one service in our portfolio which stands out: we offer omnichannel support, i.e., as a single partner for the Client, regarding the management of complex IT projects. This is the case of a well-known Czech company operating also in Italy, whose core business is the sale of medicines through proprietary pharmacies, which has been relying on our support services for several years, and which asked us to take care of the technological rollout of 120 recently acquired Italian pharmacies, which need to be standardized to the new general direction. The project will last one year and has been underway for a couple of months.
Overview of the IT Rollout Project
Our Client has acquired from another company 120 pharmacies on the Italian territory, so each “point of sale” needs a refresh of what is the aesthetic aspect, but also the more “behind the scenes” part, i.e., the information systems that allow to manage sales, inventory, ERPs: the computer that is on each checkout counter where the final customer will go to pay.
Binhexs is engaged in this part of operations, upgrading hardware and software in the newly acquired pharmacies.

Main Activities
We are in charge of supporting the Client in all phases of the project: from its sizing, estimating efforts and costs, to engaging partners and suppliers to support the activities, to the activities themselves through our technicians.
Three main phases of the IT rollout project
Our system area technicians’ are responsible for creating the new image on the Customer’s hardware. This will allow the staging & logistics team to prepare the machines. To give an idea of the numbers, the project counts, for each pharmacy, from 3 to 12 PCs, which the Client has decided in some cases to replace with new hardware.
Once the image is created, our S&L team is in charge of staging the workstations and shipping the devices.
The third phase, on the other hand, involves on-site support for each pharmacy, whose number varies depending on the size of the store. The on-site activities are necessary to complete the physical installation of the new hardware and, if necessary, pick up the old hardware. In some cases workstations are moved to “temporary pharmacies” to allow the store to operate without interruption.
This is an example of how we structure the most complex projects: from a planning and management phase together with the Client, to implementing the different activities and unite the various parties engaged.
